Assessment of patients who have a positive hepatitis B or a positive hepatitis C PCR test, is carried out by one of the Consultant Hepatologists at the Regional Liver Unit, Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast and supported by Hepatitis Nurse Specialists
All patients who require antiviral therapy for their illness receive this through either the Regional Liver Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast or with the assistance of other Outreach treatment centres offered by Addiction, Drug Outreach and Homeless Inclusion Services across the province.
